Banana Cookies – 3 ingredients!
These cookies are so simple! Made with only 3 ingredients, you can have hot, fresh cookies in only 15 minutes!
I don’t get a lot of cravings for certain foods anymore, but when I do, it’s for some sort of baked dessert product! I usually want a brownie, but any warm chocolate product will do.
Enter these 3 ingredient cookies! They are super simple to make AND are made with ingredients you probably already have on hand!
Start by mashing up a very ripe banana in bowl. I use a fork for this. I have found that the riper the banana, the better. When we have extra ripe banana laying around, instead of throwing them out, I pop them in the freezer. This makes a great base for a smoothie, or of course, you can use them for these cookies!
Once the banana is smashed, I add the oats. I measure about a cup, but you may need more or less, depending on the size of the banana.
Once the bananas and oats are mixed together, I begin scooping them onto a cookie sheet. These cookies will not rise, so you can put them very close together if you have a smaller pan.
Next, I top each cookie with 4 chocolate chips. You can certainly mix in the chocolate chips before scooping them, but the macros in chocolate chips add up fast. I like to add 4 because there is a bit of chocolate in every bite, without adding too much sugar.
Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes. The edges will begin to brown and the chocolate chips will have softened just a little.
Let the cookies cool on the pan for just a few minutes. Store in an airtight container for 2-3 days.
These cookies are delicious right out of the oven! Sneak a few, then give the rest a chance to cool on the cookie sheet. 😉
